He has served as a staff writer and editor at The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Billboard and TheWrap, reporting on subjects ranging from Hollywood and the music industry to global economics, politics and major breaking news. As the Times’ Southern Cone bureau chief based in Brazil, he reported across five countries.
His work has covered the rescue of the trapped Chilean miners, earthquakes in Latin America and military operations in the slums of Rio de Janeiro. He has also worked in Los Angeles for the crisis communications firm Sitrick and Company.
